With the 2024 academic year looming, aspiring students of the Papua New Guinea University of Technology (Unitech) eagerly await the release of acceptance lists. This guide aims to clarify the process and provide you with the key dates, procedures, and essential information concerning the 2024 University of Technology Acceptance Lists.
Key Dates
Mark your calendars! On 23rd December 2023, the Department of Higher Education Research Science and Technology (DHERST) will publish the selection list for Grade 12 School Leavers across all tertiary institutions, including Unitech.
From late December 2023 to early January 2024, Unitech will unveil four distinct acceptance lists for the upcoming year. These include:
- New Intake (Grade 12 School Leavers) Selection List: Confirms admission for undergraduate studies directly from Grade 12. This will be released by DHERST
- Online Student Selection List: Identifies chosen students who applied online (non-school leavers and continuing students).
- Non-School Leavers Selection List: Enumerates accepted undergraduate students who are not school leavers (e.g., mature-aged, transfer students). Released by Unitech.
- Continuing Students Progression List: Verifies continuation of studies for enrolled students advancing to the next year.
- Re-enrolling Students: Re-admitted students' names will also be published on the Students Re-enrollment List.
Note that this is based on past information and may be subject to changes. Visit the Unitech website for the latest information on the University of Technology Acceptance Lists for 2024 Admission. You can also stay updated with PNG Insight on this page.

Staying Updated with Scholarships: TESAS & HELP
Non-school leavers, re-admitted, and continuing students must confirm their Tertiary Education Scholarship Assistance Scheme (TESAS) funding status (AES or HECAS) upon acceptance.
